1. Personal conveyance:
- Driving to the closest parking after delivery/pickup and the driver is out of hours;
- Time spent traveling from a driver’s en route lodging (such as a motel or truck stop) to restaurants and entertainment facilities;
- Moving a CMV at the request of a safety official during the driver’s off-duty time;
- The maximum amount of miles is 50 miles.
2. Yard move:
- Moving a CMV while being at the customer’s location (delivery/pickup). The location must be a closed facility with restricted public access.
